  6. System Software 6.0.8 is the System 7 printer-compatible version of system 6.
  7. This release is identical to system 6.0.7 but comes configured with the System
  8. 7 printing software so that System 6 and System 7 Macintosh computers can share
  9. the same LaserWriter in a compatible way. It contains no new features or bug
  10. fixes.

  12. Apple is releasing system 6.0.8 to provide an easy, system 7 printer compatible
  13. release of System 6 software so that users are automatically able to share
  14. printers across the network with users of system 7.

  16. System Software 6.0.8 is being included with non-7.0 capable (high volume) CPUs
  17. such as the floppy Macintosh Classic and floppy Macintosh LC.

  19. System software 6.0.8 will be made available at authorized Apple dealers along
  20. with bulletin board services and user groups licensed to distribute Apple
  21. system software.

  23. Apple's customers and field sales/support force can see the new system files on
  24. AppleLink.  However, due to the cost of downloading the files, Apple Corporate
  25. cannot see them.  You may get a copy of the new system software from your Area
  26. Associate.
